What Are Christians

Read: Matthew 5:13-16

Verse for today: “For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the
Lord: walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light is in all
goodness and righteousness and truth” (Ephesians 5:8,9).
If you’re looking for Waldo, hunt for his red and white toboggan,
shock of brown hair, black rimmed glasses, red and white striped
sweater, blue pants, and brown shoes. He always wears the same
thing, so he should be easy to find, right? No! Waldo creator
Martin Handford hides him among hundreds of odd characters,
and he’s never easy to find, even though you know exactly what
to look for.

Moving Mountains

“If your faith were the size of a small seed of the mustard plant,
then you could say to the mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’
and the mountain would move. . .” (Matt. 17:20).
The reading was a part of Jesus’ response to the apostles’ stated
inability to heal the lunatic boy who kept falling into water and
fire, a type of spiritual guidance using a physical condition of
unusual difficulty. Who moves mountains?

Prove You Are Different

Today’s Scripture: Philippians 2:15 – 16 – …so that you will
prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of
God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse
generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,
16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ
I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor
toil in vain.”
