How Do You See People?

Ponder: Discussing people or helping them.

Scripture: “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that
he was born blind?” (John 9:2, NKJV).
Nearly every day we come into contact with people. How do you
see them? How you look at people says much about what kind of
person you are. Jesus once healed a blind beggar at Jerusalem.
Observe how the disciples looked at the man:

“Hear and Understand”

“After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them,
‘Hear and understand'” (Matt 15:10).
“I just can’t understand what you are trying to say!”
We often fail to understand one another, and certainly
fail to understand what Jesus is trying to tell us in His word.
Just look at the mass confusion among Christendom. Unbelievers
point to the lack of unity and agreement among professed
Christians and refuse to believe Christianity is from the Lord.

What Shall We Have?

“Then answered Peter and said unto him, Lo, we have left all,
and followed thee; what then shall we have?” (Matthew 19:27).
Peter’s statement and question came right after the rich man’s
encounter with Jesus. The rich man had great possessions and had
kept the law to his ability. However, when Jesus told him to sell
everything and give to the poor, he went away sorrowful. Jesus
told his disciples that it was hard for a rich man to enter into the
kingdom of heaven.
