Spiritual Discernment

“But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil” (Heb 5:14 NASU).
God demands that Christians develop a keen ability to discern both good and evil. In a society that seldom sees anything evil unless it could put someone in prison it needs a regular dose of this medicine.

The Prayer Of Our High Priest # 9

“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world” (John 17:18).
The Father sent the Son into the world for salvation (John 3:17 and Luke 19:10). God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (I Timothy 2:4). “We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God” (II Corinthians 5:20).

Righteousness Not Self Righteousness

Ponder: Standing for what is right without being self-righteous.
Scripture: “Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others” (Luke 18:9, NKJV).
It’s good to know the truth. It’s good to stand for what is right according to God’s word. But it isn’t good to be self-righteous.
