Shortsighted

Ponder: Luke 7:38-47

Today’s Verse: “But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins” (2 Peter 1:9 NIV).
Sooner or later most of us will notice we begin to squint to make out signs. The TV isn’t as clear, and we may think we need to change to an HD channel and we discover we were on an HD channel! There are three things that greatly interest a community – a birth, a marriage and death. Unfortunately, for many these events are the only time a person is present in a church building. There are many milestones in a person’s life, and I guess one more should be added. Baptism. When you look at baptism you will discover these three milestones are used to describe the event at baptism.
