Fathers Are Worthy Of Honor

The Bible declares for us to “Honor our father and mother” (Eph. 6:2).
It is interesting to notice that the Bible doesn’t tell us to honor only those fathers who are perfect and without sin! Good fathers recognize their many imperfections and would wish they could have the years back to do a better job. Guilt weighs heavily on fathers (mothers too!) for things left undone, and thing done that should have been left undone.

Number Our Days

Ponder: Jas 4:13-17
Today’s Bible Verse: “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps 118:24 NIV).
Besse Cooper, of Monroe, Georgia, is considered to be the oldest living person today. She turned 115 last August. She was asked what she remembers telling her children. She said, “To be honest, and you can do anything if you set your mind to it.” You may see an interview with her on You tube to see she still has a sense of humor.

“Revive Us Again”

Bible Verse For Today: “This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your word has revived me” (Psalm 119:50 NAU).
Have you ever been knocked unconscious? I have – twice. It is one of the strangest experiences. The first time, I was unconscious for hours, and the second, only for a few minutes. Each time I recovered, I felt like I came back from the dead. I suppose the nearest thing to this is being put out with anesthesia for surgery.
