Devotions for Life

“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28).
Every year the congregation that I attend holds a free car wash and oil change. Minor car repairs are done. God has blessed us with several mechanics. We also provide food and fellowship for those waiting to have their cars serviced. This event is open to the community. It is not a fund raising event, and no one is charged for supplies or labor. It is a service freely done out of love.’

There was a time when tents were simple affairs. They came in one style: the pup tent. It had two poles, some canvas and a few pegs for the ropes.

How Deep Is Your Love?

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” (I Peter 4:8, NIV).

How much of our time, how much of our money, how much of our energy, and how much of our emotions do we invest to show our love?
