Devotions for Life

Grow Or Die

1 Peter 2:2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby”

Growth in our knowledge of God and his word is evidence of our desire to please him as we seek that better country, the heavenly home (Heb. 11:16). It is of vital importance that we understand that the entire life of a child of God is one of spiritual growth from beginning to end.

Encourage The Doer

“Therefore, encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing” (1 Thess. 5:11).

Serving the Lord has its own reward, but if there is no sign among the body of Christian’s good works, that “doer” may become discouraged or lose confidence. Some individuals see the very lifting of spirits as part of the Word and they are blessed, but there remains in most humans the need to be noticed.

Genesis Three: A Microcosm Of Human Experience

In Genesis three, we have the fall of Adam and Eve. In the first three chapters of Genesis we have an explanation of the origin of man, the original sin, and the plight of humanity (suffering and death). Evolution sees man rising out of
subhuman life forms. But, biblically, man is a special creation of God, without a precursor.
