Promise Of Eternal Life

That eternal life begins the day one is born into the family of God through being immersed in water
for the forgiveness of one’s sins (John 3:1-8; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38). Even though we will die physically, our soul doesn’t have to ever die again. One of the great comforts of this verse is that
the promise of eternal life comes from God who does not lie (Titus 1:2). Since God promised us
eternal life, we know that He will give it to us

God And You

Ponder: How can you endure severe trials?
Scripture: “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial” (James 1:12 ESV).
Paul’s relationship with God enabled him not only to endure a fierce storm at sea, but to
encourage others onboard. “And now I urge you to take heart . . . For there stood by me
this night an angel of the God to whom I belong, and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be
afraid, Paul . . . indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Therefore take
heart, me, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me” (Acts 27:22-25 NKJV).

Growing Wings

Today’s Bible Verse: “We are children of God and, if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow
heirs with Christ, if we indeed suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him”
(Rom. 8:16-17).
The Lord Jesus has everything promised to us as God’s children, and we will share everything
with Him. Why? Being heirs of God, we are in the same family and are to be like Him
