Ponder: How can you endure severe trials?
Scripture: “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial” (James 1:12 ESV).
Paul’s relationship with God enabled him not only to endure a fierce storm at sea, but to
encourage others onboard. “And now I urge you to take heart . . . For there stood by me
this night an angel of the God to whom I belong, and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be
afraid, Paul . . . indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Therefore take
heart, me, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me” (Acts 27:22-25 NKJV).


Growing Wings

Today’s Bible Verse: “We are children of God and, if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow
heirs with Christ, if we indeed suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him”
(Rom. 8:16-17).
The Lord Jesus has everything promised to us as God’s children, and we will share everything
with Him. Why? Being heirs of God, we are in the same family and are to be like Him


Guard Your Steps

Today’s Bible Verse: “Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil” (Eccl 5:1 NASU).

Many Biblical passages warn us to be careful in the paths we choose to walk. There are many Satanic-placed traps. Yet Solomon is warning that each guard his steps “when you go to the house of God.” When we come to worship we’d better give careful consideration and make sure we know what we are doing.
