To Know One Another

Today’s Bible Verse: “He will swallow up death for all time and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth” (Isa. 25:8).
As time goes by one becomes more of an “elder” than ever imagined, but I’m finding old age is a subject of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter!

Hold Fast

Today’s verse: “But Christ was faithful as a Son over His house – whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end” (Hebrews 3:6).
Peter echoes this idea that we are God’s house. We are living stones being built up as a spiritual house (I Peter 2:5). God does not live in a tabernacle, a temple, or in any other kind of a physical structure. God lives in His people.

“In Him We Live, Move And Have Our Being”

“God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28’For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring’ (Acts 17:27-28 NIV).
My friend, Greg Madrigal, was telling me recently about a time he and Cathi were watching huge thirty foot waves crash on the beaches of Hawaii. The impact was so powerful that fish were stunned and flopping on the beach.
